Susan is one of the most experienced experts in the use
of database screenings to drive fundraising results. In
fact, in 1988, as a college intern, she helped develop
the first comprehensive database of the wealthiest
individuals in the U.S. which resulted in the founding
of POW&R, Inc.
Since then, Susan has helped hundreds of nonprofit organizations from The Salvation Army to Purdue University use database screenings to identify prospects capable of making five, six and even seven-figure gifts. She has also worked with more than 400 YMCA to research their membership files and develop specific steps for turning members into major gift donors.
As President of MAGIC, Susan leads the company's development of new data sources and screening solutions. She also heads the company's sales and marketing efforts.
A recognized expert in the field of prospect research, Susan speaks regularly at industry conferences and seminars including the Association of Fundraising Professionals International Conference, Association of Prospect Research for Advancement International Conference, National Association of YMCA Development Officers Conference, and many AHP and AFP chapters.
Susan is a graduate of Georgia State University with a degree in Finance. She is a devoted pug owner and accomplished rock climber.
